《迷幻学院》（Tower Prep）是卡通频道今年播出的第二部原创真人剧集。与《奇妙的历史》（Unnatural History）轻松愉快的氛围不同，《迷幻学院》存在悬疑情节，更贴近于成人故事（即所谓的「teen adult story」）。故事讲述性格冲动好斗的少年Ian Archer一觉醒来后发现自己来到了一家神秘的学院，学员们都是和他一样有特殊能力的青少年。Ian试图和其他三名同学一起逃跑，但最终失败了。他们下决心要查明事情的真相。

The biggest land vehicle on earth, a bucket excavator titled Bagger 293, that can move 240,000 cubic meters of dirt each day. Innovation has always meant building bigger, faster, taller, longer and stronger than anything that came before. We’ve seen them in dramatic visual fashion. But how do these actually work? What sets each machine apart. What big ideas drove its evolution and what limitations did this machine overcome? What forces was it built to withstand and where is the breaking point? Using CGI and expert insights, we ‘strip down’ the design of some of the world’s unique colossal machines and reveal mechanical secrets that not only made them work, but also changed the world in a big way!　　Each episode explores four incredible machines, linked thematically. Loewe 1947年共同創作的音樂劇《布里加東》中的劇段，該劇是描繪的一座蘇格蘭城鎮，每一百年出現一次。同樣地，《BRIGADOON まりんとメラン 》中BRIGADOON也是每隔一百年就會接近地球，在接近時會引發名為等量崩壞的兩世界物質交換的現象，需要名為「marin」的生化兵器在「帕斯卡之日」這一天舉行儀式讓兩世界遠離恢復正常。　　可能會認為之前的引子說得誇張，這些可愛的蘿莉公仔那有這種張力？但這套作品監督正是「米たにヨシトモ」喔！「米たにヨシトモ」最出名就是在《勇者王我王凱牙 》中當監督、米たにヨシトモ最厲害的地方，就是在劇中最歡樂的時候，突然狠下殺手，把劇情一下子推到谷底：相依為命的婆婆去世，給同學們排劑，長屋被毁喪失家園，當各位以為此等慘劇發生，女角會重此不振的時候，在絕望之中往往就會像勇者王一樣會見到一線曙光，把劇力又推向歡樂高昂之地，有突如以來的同伴幫助，有好朋友如月萌的諒解，當然還有後期的神奇眼鏡吧！然後又急跌，在又高又低的，像坐過山車的劇情鋪排下，觀眾們的情緒就這樣給牽引著，一時高興一時悲傷，我想有看過《勇者王我王凱牙》也領教過這回事吧？　　另外一個令人感動的地方，就是女主角面對逆境的態度。對著上述逆境，她會有落淚的時候，但她回復得相當快，雖然貧窮給同學恥笑，但她並不為意，活得尊嚴 ；給人排擠時，沒有怨懟只有自強不息，喪失家園但還會鼓勵別人，總之就是向好的方面想，而且那種傻勁還會成為別人的堅強的支柱，沒有怨天尤人只有咬緊牙關，就是這種笑臉迎人，迎接悲劇的表現，製作出以樂襯悲的手法，扣扣相環的情節把作品的精神面昇華了。要數能令我迫出眼淚的其中一套作品，這是其中一套。　　故事的結局有點出人意表，在這兒賣個關子，有機會的找來看吧！
